Edinburgh Rugby have locked in a high-value September test against Harlequins, with Sean Everitt’s side heading to The Stoop on Friday 18 September for a 7.45pm kick-off.
The fixture, confirmed by Edinburgh, drops neatly into the final week before the 2026/27 BKT United Rugby Championship begins. Edinburgh open their league campaign away to Ulster on Friday 25 September before hosting the Stormers at Hive Stadium on 2 October, a fixture run that builds on last season’s Stormers vs Edinburgh URC context.
London calling. We’re heading south to face Harlequins in a pre-season friendly at The Stoop on Friday 18 September.

Why the timing matters
This is not a soft launch. Harlequins bring Gallagher PREM tempo, a dry-track attacking identity and a venue where Edinburgh have already landed before. The Scottish side won both European meetings between the clubs in 2016/17, including a 23-18 away victory in January 2017 after Fraser McKenzie and Allan Dell crossed and Duncan Weir kicked 11 points.
For Everitt, the value sits in calibration. A week before Ulster, Edinburgh will get a live read on defensive spacing, set-piece rhythm and transition accuracy against a side built to punish loose exits.
Ticket window confirmed
Tickets for the Harlequins fixture go on general sale at 11am on Friday 10 July, priced from £20 for adults and £10 for under-18s.
It also gives Edinburgh a clean commercial and rugby bridge into the new campaign: a London fixture, a recognisable opponent and a sharper test than most pre-season schedules usually provide.
