Glasgow Warriors vs Benetton URC preview as the sides meet at Scotstoun Stadium.
Glasgow sit top of the table after 13 games and were boosted up to 50 points with their convincing win over Leinster in the last round. They sit four points above the Stormers in second and will want to maintain or extend that lead as the top team. Benetton currently sit 12th on 28 points and are seven points behind eighth. Recent Form:
Glasgow Warriors (Home team): W-L-W-W-W
Glasgow, as the league leaders, have obviously been in great form, but did pick up one of their three losses against Connacht within the last five games. The loss to Connacht is the only game they haven’t won since November, a run of one loss in 11 games. In the last round, the Glasgow Warriors pulled off an incredible 38-17 win over Leinster. In a ten-minute period in the first half, Glasgow scored four tries to give them the dominant lead.
Benetton (Away team): W-D-D-L-W
Benetton returned after the Six Nations break with a fantastic 31-19 win over the Ospreys. The Italians took the lead four minutes in and held onto the lead for the rest of the game. The Ospreys came within two points at 14-12 just after halftime and pushed out to a 31-12 lead before the Ospreys scored late on. Before this, Benetton had drawn two matches in a row, a feat not often seen in rugby.
