Following an enthralling Six Nations which saw Wales crowned Grand Slam champions, the attention of northern hemisphere rugby turns to European club rugby.

The first stage of the knockouts have set up what are guaranteed to be cracking contests. Despite being in the form of their lives the Welsh Rugby Union has no representation in this weekend’s fixtures. There are two French sides, Racing 92 and Toulouse who face off on Sunday to conclude the weekend. The Pro14 leads the way with five teams in the quarterfinals, however.

First, an in-form Edinburgh host Munster, followed by reigning champions Leinster facing off against Ulster in an all-Irish fixture. In between these games we’ll see the ever present Saracens take on Glasgow in a fixture which has been a regular occurrence in recent years.

Every side has a chance of walking away with a victory which would see them claim a semi-final place but let’s see how the matches may pan out over what is sure to be a great weekend of rugby.
