According to former English international Stuart Barnes, New Zealand’s continued dominance is ‘great for the game’, with Barnes describing the All Blacks as ‘one of the great sport teams of all time’, Sky Sports report.
Since lifting the Rugby World Cup back in 2015, New Zealand have continued to impress on the world stage and have a phenomenal win success rate of 90 per cent over the past three years.
Steve Hansen’s side have recently began their Rugby Championship campaign with consecutive emphatic victories over Australia.
The Kiwi’s defeated their rivals 38-13 in their opening fixture and demolished the Aussie’s again seven days later 40-12.
In the five Test matches New Zealand have competed in this year, the All Blacks have only averaged a five-point lead at half-time.
However, by full time, the average lead extends to 28 points, with Barnes heaping praise on the side in recent days.
I think that they are one of the great sports teams of all time.
Now I know that there’s one or two former coaches who are of that opinion but I look at it and I just think that New Zealand are just beating the hell out of everyone else.
It’s great for the game. If you think that it’s bad that you have an exceptional team, then you’re taking a very negative view on life.
Hansen’s side are next in action in seven days time, when they take on Argentina in the Rugby Championship.
