Four men to appear in court over abuse of England Rugby coach

Four men will appear in court after England coach Eddie Jones was verbally taunted at a railway station in Manchester around two months ago.

The day following England’s defeat to Scotland, the 58-year-old was on the receiving end of obscene insults whilst he was travelling through Manchester Oxford Road station.

Scotland’s victory was the first time they had beaten England since 2008, making it a historic result and put Scottish fans in a triumphant mood.

The four men, aged between 22 and 25 all hail from Scotland and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on May 16, according to the BBC.

British Transport Police have said that the men were reported for an alleged public order offence.

Footage released online showed that the men initially asked for photographs with the Australian coach, before it turned ugly and a tirade of abuse ensued.
