Wales and Osprey wing Eli Walker has retired at the age of 25 after failing to overcome a back injury, the Daily Mail report.
Walker, who was once hailed as the top-performing wing in British and Irish rugby, made one Wales appearance against Ireland back in 2015, and had surgery last year, but has recently been advised to retire by doctors.
It is an extremely difficult thing to do, acknowledging and making the decision that you have to retire from the game but it is absolutely the right thing for me to do, I’ve worked hard to try to get back to where I was pre-surgery.

The wing who made his debut for Ospreys as an 18-year-old, was a Pro12 winner with the club six years ago, and went on to represent his home region on 81 occasions, going over for 23 tries during that time.
Walker also underwent back surgery in 2013 and along with several hamstring problems, he turned took up yoga in an attempt to beat them. He has also suffered shoulder and foot issues at various points.
His last appearance for the Ospreys was in a 31-7 win against the Blues at Cardiff Arms Park back in 2016.
