Robshaw: ‘Murrayfield crowd will inspire England’

England flanker Chris Robshaw believes that a hostile Murrayfield crowd will only inspire the visitors, the BBC report.

Scotland host England as the Six Nations resumes on Saturday, with a packed crowd expected for the highly anticipated Calcutta Cup.

England have beaten Italy and Wales already so far in the tournament, and are aiming to make history by being the first team to win the title three times in a row under current head coach Eddie Jones.

Talking ahead of the vital match, Robshaw said:

It’s you against everyone, you have to stand up and be counted, I believe going away from home brings the players closer together.

Robshaw knows what it takes to win at Murrayfield, after being on the winning side three times with England.

The former captain also stated that the current squad are experienced enough not to get dragged into any ‘mind games’ minutes before kick-off.

History is on the visitors side, with replacement scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth the only player in the squad of 23 to have tasted defeat at Murrayfield before, which came in a 15-9 loss in 2008.
