Ireland defence coach Andy Farrell is to help out at Ulster after the Six Nations concludes, according to the BBC.
Former England World Cup winner Farrell joined Ireland’s backroom team back in 2016 and has also been a part of the British and Irish Lions coaching staff on the recent tour to New Zealand in 2017, along with the 2013 tour to Australia, both under the management of Warren Gatland.

Bryn Cunningham, the operations director at Ulster, recently admitted that nobody will permanently join the coaching staff before the end of the season, possibly meaning Farrell’s stay could be a short one.
Farrell has plenty of experience, not just with the British and Irish Lions, as he was the defence coach with England under the management of Stuart Lancaster, and has helped out at Munster for a brief spell back in 2016.
Many have tipped Farrell to be a head coach in the future, possibly of Ireland, so gaining more experience as a defence coach at Ulster can only mean positive things.
