Tuilagi to miss Australia tour

Manu Tuilagi, who plays as centre for Leicester, will miss out on England’s tour of Australia, according to BBC Sport.

The 25-year-old was named in England’s 32- man squad, even though he was injured in the Tigers’ defeat to the Saracens on Saturday.

Originally, Tuilagi was expected to be ruled out for six weeks, but his latest scan results have shown that he will miss all three Tests.

A replacement for Tuilagi will be named after England’s match against Wales on Sunday.

Owen Farrell, fly-half for the Saracens has also been named in the squad, despite suffering a rib problem during the Saracens win.

It has been an unfortunate year for Tuilagi, who was ruled out for 15 months with injuries and disciplinary issues before returning in March.

Tuilagi joined up with the 2013 Lions squad for their tour to Australia. He played in four games for the Lions, but did not score any points in those games.
