Bath are set to take on English giants Leicester Tigers in their fifth game of the season. The match is important for Bath as they need to make up some ground on league leaders Saracens after their poor start to the season and a win here would catapult them up the table.
Leicester sit fourth in the table, having won three of their opening four fixtures and are five points adrift of the top spot. Bath meanwhile are sixth, having won two and lost two so far this season.
Bath will be playing away from home, meaning that they will need to remain disciplined in defence and confident in attack so as to overcome Leicester’s home advantage.
The last time these two clubs met, Bath ran away as resounding winners in a 47-10 win. The result saw them reach the final of the Aviva Premiership and so the Tigers will be out for revenge.
I expect Leicester to be fierce in attack and cause Bath many problems. Mike Ford’s side may well cope for the first half, but I don’t feel their current form will help them in their search for a win.
