World Rugby has revealed that the Television Match Official (TMO) made an error in the Six Nations clash between England and Wales last weekend, according to a report on BBC Sport.
Wales full-back Gareth Anscombe looked like he had scored a try in the first half at Twickenham on Saturday, as he seemed to edge England defender Anthony Watson to score.
However, after the TMO reviewed the incident, the try was not awarded as it was deemed the England defender got to the ball first.

Wales ultimately fell to a 12-6 defeat against the defending champions but had that try stranded, things could have ended very differently.
Wales managers Warren Gatland was understandably angry with the decision and his assistant coach Rob Howley said:
It was good to have dialogue with World Rugby – they confirmed the TMO made a mistake.
That phone call took place yesterday and Alain Rolland confirmed on behalf of World Rugby that it was a mistake.
Despite the loss at Twickenham, Wales are still chasing the Six Nations title as they currently sit three points behind Ireland and England.
At the time of the disallowed try, the score was 12-0 to England and Wales could have been back in the game if it was given as a try.
Wales’ boss Gatland is disappointed but is now brushing the incident aside as his side need to focus and prepare for the remainder of the tournament.
