Wales’ winger George North is doubtful to feature for Wales in their Six Nations opener against Scotland as he continues to battle with injuries, according to a report on BBC Sport.
The Northampton winger had to withdraw from the club’s squad on the weekend due to a persistent knee injury which he is struggling to fully recover from and it is that same problem that may keep him out of the clash with Scotland.

North suffered a knee injury in October and has found it hard to regain fitness, making only two appearances since.
Wales assistant coach Neil Jenkins said:
We’ll assess George today … and hopefully he’ll be involved for selection this week.
Wales will be desperate to have North passed fit for the match as they already have eight front-line players unavailable for selection due to injuries.
The 25-year-old was absent from the Wales squad for their Autumn internationals through injury and even if he is passed fit, his match fitness is expected to be very low.
Wales already have Scrum-half Rhys Webb, centre Jonathan Davies and flankers Sam Warburton and Dan Lydiate ruled out for the whole of the tournament so having North fit would be a massive boost, especially if they progress to the later stages of the tournament.
